Implant Supported Complete Dentures

Implant Supported Complete Dentures

Complete dentures are needed when all the upper and/or lower teeth need to be replaced. Traditional dentures are often uncomfortable and difficult to wear. They wear down on the gum tissue and jawbone, transforming the way they fit in the mouth and often become loose and insecure. This makes it difficult to chew properly and to speak. Implant-supported dentures hold the denture securely in place by anchoring them to the jawbone with titanium implants. These dentures can either be removable or fixed, depending on the patient’s preference and need.

Some of the many benefits to implant-supported dentures include:

  • No slipping
  • No need for denture adhesive
  • Minimal discomfort
  • No palate on an upper denture, which improves eating
  • Improved ability to chew and speak
